Alexis Borisy, A.M.

President and Chief Executive Officer,
Founder

Alexis Borisy, founder of CombinatoRx, has served as our President, Chief Executive Officer, and a director of CombinatoRx since March 2000. From 1995 to March 2000 Mr. Borisy was a strategy consultant, working with senior executives at pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the areas of corporate strategy, portfolio management, and discovery technology. Prior to leaving his Ph.D. program to pursue a business career, Mr. Borisy came from a science background in chemistry and biology. He was a Howard Hughes Predoctoral Fellow in life sciences, a Presidential Scholar, and the 2003 MIT Technology Review Innovator of the Year award recipient. Mr. Borisy holds an A.B. in chemistry from the University of Chicago and an A.M. in chemistry from Harvard University. Back to Top

Robert Forrester

Executive Vice President,
Chief Financial Officer

Robert Forrester has served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since February 2004. Prior to joining CombinatoRx, Mr. Forrester served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development at Coley Pharmaceutical Group from 2000 to 2003. From 1994 to 2000, he was a managing director of the Proprietary Investment Group at MeesPierson, part of the Fortis Group. Prior to MeesPierson, Mr. Forrester worked for BZW, UBS, & Clifford Chance. He holds a LL.B. from Bristol University. Back to Top

Lynn G. Baird, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President,
Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical Operations

Lynn Baird joined CombinatoRx in April 2006 as our Senior Vice President, Regulatory, Quality and Clinical Operations. Dr. Baird served as Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems at Dyax Corp. Prior to Dyax, she was Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Reprogenesis, Inc. and its successor Curis, Inc. Her previous experience also includes positions at CytoTherapeutics, Inc., Johnson and Johnson and Creative BioMolecules. Dr. Baird holds a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a M.S. in chemistry and a B.S. in psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Back to Top

Jason F. Cole, Esq.

Senior Vice President,
General Counsel

Jason F. Cole, Esq. has served as our Senior Vice President and General Counsel since January 2006. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Cole was a corporate and securities attorney at Ropes & Gray LLP. Mr. Cole holds an A.B. in government from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. Back to Top

John Randle, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President,
Commercial Development

John Randle joined CombinatoRx in September 2007 as our Senior Vice President, Commercial Development. Prior to joining CombinatoRx, Dr. Randle served as Program Executive at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated from 1999 to 2007. He previously held positions at Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, as Director of Marketing (1996 to 1999) and Director of Neurology Research (1992 to 1996), and at the Institut de Recherche Servier as Research Fellow (1987 to 1992). Dr. Randle holds a Ph.D. in physiology from McGill University, B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Queen's University and received supplementary training at the Université Paris VI, Stockholm School of Economics and Harvard School of Public Health.
